I have had many doctors and counselors and I never realized what a huge difference having the right doctor that fit my needs, he just gets me and my health is greatly improved thanks to Dr. Borders!

Horrible Experience!! DO NOT GO HERE!!! Took someone who is having suicidal thoughts and is depressed & they told her to just tell her brain not to allow those thoughts and that God will cure her depression. Focused more on the “personality quiz” that she was given. Called & left message for Borders and instead got a call at the very end of day from the Office Manager. I am furious!!! Will be seeking further action, especially after finding that per the office manager none of this was in the notes.

I have been going here over 5 years. I think people need a lesson on the different "doctors and counselors" you need to see for different issues. However, Hendricks is nice enough not to require you to see a counselor. The Psychiatrists, you generally are only speaking to them about medications and new symptoms, about 15 min appointment. If you need to have counseling or start with some kind of diagnosis, then you see a psychologist or a counselor. At most facilities you generally HAVE TO see one of those first and then be referred to a Psychiatrist.
Now that we have that out of the way. I have seen both Psychiatrists and they are absolutely wonderful. You have to engage(ask questions, say how your feeling, etc) in your own therapy to get better, they don't have every answer, but they will try their hardest to help you. They have both gone above and beyond for me. I appreciate the office staff and dealing with all those annoying prior authorizations. They are well worth the visit.
